What time can checks be picked up by department heads?: Department heads can pick up checks at the Finance Office at 8:00 on payday. The JMCSS checks are handled differently.

1. When is payday?: County employees get paid on the 15th and last day of each month.

2. What time can checks be picked up by department heads?: Department heads can pick up checks at the Finance Office at 8:00 on payday. The JMCSS checks are handled differently.

3. Will I get my money faster if I choose to have Direct Deposit?: Generally, those having Direct Deposit will have their money at midnight the day before payday. However, it is not guaranteed until payday. We highly encourage our employees to take advantage of using Direct Deposit.

4. When do Substitutes in the JMCSS (teachers or other) get paid?: Substitutes get paid in the following pay period than the period that they worked in. Substitutes that worked from the 1st - 15th of the month will get paid on the 30th. Substitutes that worked from the 16th - last day of the month will get paid on the 15th.
Remember, Substitutes are eligible for Direct Deposit.
