If you still do not agree with the appraisal you may appear before the Madison County Board of Equalization which meets the first week to 10 days of June each year. Appointments are accepted during the month of May each year. Please contact our office @ (731) 423-6063
While taxes are not paid in this office, we receive calls about this almost everyday. ANSWER: Taxes cannot be paid early. Tax Notices regarding your property should be received the by the first week of October each year. Any paperwork regarding the payment of taxes due at closing is typically an estimation especially if the closing is prior to October 1st of that tax year. We encourage you to contact your closing attorney regarding tax payment responsibilities.
